The Warehouse Stockroom Attendant plays a vital role in supporting production and overall warehouse efficiency. This position is responsible for accurately pulling and staging production orders, replenishing production areas, receiving and putting away incoming materials, and maintaining inventory accuracy through the use of forklifts, pallet jacks, and computer devices. The attendant works across multiple areas of the warehouse and must be detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and able to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Receive and unload incoming shipments; verify contents against packing slips and purchase orders.
• Report and document any discrepancies or shortages upon receipt.
• Inspect products upon arrival for damage; note and report damage on the BOL and to supervisors.
• Enter all receipts and inventory transactions accurately into the inventory management system.
• Sort, count, and label materials per work instructions and warehouse procedures.
• Monitor UPS cart daily, sort deliveries, and notify appropriate departments of received items.
• Use forklift or pallet jack to stage incoming goods and replenish stock in warehouse locations.
• Pull production orders and Kanban requests; accurately key materials to production lines.
• Deliver parts and materials to designated production lines in a timely manner.
• Proactively communicate with Purchasing and Production to resolve inventory discrepancies.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in compliance with all safety policies.
• Assist in continuous improvement efforts to streamline warehouse processes.

Required Qualifications and Skills:

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1+ year of experience in a warehouse, stockroom, or distribution environment preferred.
• Valid forklift certification or willingness to obtain certification within 30 days of hire.
• Basic computer skills; ability to enter data accurately using inventory management systems.
• Ability to read and interpret work instructions, packing slips, and purchase orders.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in counting, labeling, and inventory transactions.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand, bend, and walk for extended periods.
• Knowledge of warehouse safety practices and commitment to following safety protocols.
• Willingness to cross-train and support multiple warehouse functions as needed.

Physical Demands:

Must possess mobility to work in a standard warehouse setting and work with and around a variety of equipment, parts, and inventory, to operate a motor vehicle and forklift; strength, stamina, and mobility to perform medium physical work; vision to read printed materials and a computer screen and hearing and speech to communicate in person and over the telephone or radio. The job involves walking and working on slippery surfaces. Finger dexterity is needed to access, enter, and retrieve data using a computer keyboard or calculator. Positions in this classification bend, stoop, kneel, reach, and climb to perform work. Employees must possess the ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials and objects weighing up to 50 pounds and heavier weights with the proper equipment. All employees must wear company approved safety glasses while in the plant and distribution areas.

Environmental Elements:

Employees primarily work in the warehouse and are exposed to loud noise levels, vibration, chemicals, dust, mechanical hazards, and moving objects or other vehicles. May be exposed to cold and hot temperatures, inclement weather conditions, mechanical hazards, and hazardous physical substances and fumes. Employees may interact with staff and/or public and private representatives in interpreting and enforcing departmental policies and procedures.
