Job Description

SALARY The minimum salary is $17.415 per hour This position is eligible for overtime (non-exempt), if applicable. Pay Grade 511 This position is eligible for Hazardous Duty Supplemental Pay ($90/month, $0.52c/hour) and CDL pay ($1.08/hour) once obtained within the required first six (6) months of employment.

DESCRIPTION
The purpose of this classification is to perform hands-on material handling and administrative tasks involving receiving, storing, issuing, and tracking tools, parts, and materials used in the Division of Streets & Roads to ensure proper inventory levels, accurate recordkeeping, and efficient distribution of supplies to maintenance and operations personnel.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
High school diploma, GED, or equivalent Two (2) years of related experience Additional years of related education may substitute for years of experience
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Receive, inspect, and verify deliveries of tools, materials, equipment, and parts against purchase order and packing slips Store inventory items in designated locations using proper labeling and organization methods Issue tools, parts, and materials to field and shop personnel, ensuring accurate documentation and inventory tracking Ensure proper storage and handling of hazardous materials, lubricants, and other regulated inventory in compliance with safety protocols Track tool check-outs and returns; report lost, broken, or misused tools and equipment Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material-handling equipment as required Support maintenance crews with job site deliveries or equipment staging as needed Performs related work as assigned
SPECIAL LICENSE/CERTIFICATION
All Certifications and licenses must be maintained as a condition of employment. Valid Driver's License Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class B and Endorsement N - Tank Vehicles within the first six (6) months of employment Forklift certification within the first six (6) months of employment
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
Must be able to work evenings, weekends and holidays as assigned and on emergencies. All positions require drug testing and background check before employment and may require a post-job offer physical as stated in Ordinances 21-14(b), 22-13 and 23-16. Positions are required to perform snow removal duties during weather emergencies.
