Job Summary We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Inventory Associate to join our dynamic supply chain and warehouse operations team. Responsibilities Collaborate with procurement, sourcing, and merchandising teams to optimize stock levels, pricing strategies, and category management initiatives. Support demand planning and production scheduling by providing insights from data analytics and supply chain metrics. Manage logistics inventory including shipping & receiving, materials handling, and order fulfillment to ensure timely delivery and stock availability. Utilize technical proficiency in warehouse operations, forklift operation, heavy lifting, and materials management to facilitate efficient stocking and storage. Engage in root cause analysis for inventory discrepancies or supply chain disruptions to implement corrective actions that prevent recurrence. Assist in contract negotiations with suppliers or 3PL providers to improve sourcing strategies and reduce costs while maintaining quality standards. Maintain detailed records of inventory movements, cycle counts, and audit reports for compliance and continuous process improvement. Qualifications Strong data collection, mining, visualization skills using tools like Knowledge of logistics inventory management including shipping & receiving processes and materials handling equipment such as forklifts. Familiarity with supply chain analytics, demand planning, procurement practices, and contract management. Ability to perform root cause analysis and implement process improvements effectively. Excellent analytical skills with a focus on financial modeling, pricing strategies, and data-driven decision making. Technical proficiency in
SQL, AS400
systems, ERP platforms (e.g., SAP), or inventory control software is highly desirable. Strong cross-functional communication skills to collaborate with sourcing, merchandising, logistics teams, and suppliers. Physical ability to lift heavy items safely as required by warehouse tasks. Math skills necessary for demand forecasting, order accuracy calculations, and financial analysis related to inventory control.
