Job Overview We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Receiver to join our food manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing incoming shipments, ensuring accurate inventory intake, and supporting efficient warehouse operations. The ideal candidate will be organized, proactive, flexible around hours and comfortable working with various warehouse management systems and equipment to keep our supply chain running smoothly.

Hourly, full-time; 6 am start; must have flexibility in scheduling Compensation range: $30 - 35/hour Key Responsibilities
  • Receive incoming raw materials and packaging items
  • Verify shipments against purchase orders and packing slips
  • Inspect materials for accuracy, quality, and damage
  • Accurately enter receiving data into the computer/ERP system
  • Label and store materials in designated warehouse locations
  • Maintain organized warehouse layout and proper stock rotation (FIFO)
  • Monitor inventory levels and identify shortages or overstock conditions
  • Request and coordinate material transfers between warehouse locations
  • Perform cycle counts and assist with physical inventory
  • Investigate and report inventory discrepancies
  • Support production by ensuring materials are available when needed
  • Operate Powered Industrial Trucks (PIT) such as forklifts and pallet jacks
  • Follow all company safety, quality, and food safety procedures
  • Communicate effectively with purchasing, production, and QA teams Qualifications
  • 5 years of experience in a receiver role; experience in food manufacturing required
  • Prior inventory experience preferred
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of inventory accuracy
  • High school diploma a must
  • Ability to read and write in English; understanding Portuguese a plus
  • Demonstrated basic business computer skills (data entry, system navigation)
  • Previous experience with scanners and operating Powered Industrial Trucks (PIT) preferred
  • Good in math; strong attention to detail and organization skills Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift and move materials up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the shift
  • Comfortable working in a warehouse environment (including cold areas if applicable)
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test, including marijuana. Work Environment
  • Food manufacturing facility, much of it refrigerated.
