Job Description
Overview We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Inventory Associate to join our dynamic supply chain and warehouse management team. This role is essential in ensuring accurate inventory control, efficient stock management, and seamless coordination across procurement, logistics, and distribution functions. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in optimizing inventory processes, supporting demand planning, and enhancing overall operational efficiency. Responsibilities Conduct regular inventory counts and audits to maintain precise stock levels across multiple warehouse locations. Utilize Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and ERP platforms such as AS400 or SAP to track inventory movements, update records, and ensure data accuracy. Analyze inventory data using tools like Power BI, Tableau, or Nielsen to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for process improvements. Collaborate with procurement teams to support sourcing strategies, negotiate supplier contracts, and optimize pricing models. Assist in demand planning and forecasting activities by analyzing historical sales data and market trends. Support shipping & receiving operations by coordinating order fulfillment, materials handling, and logistics activities. Perform root cause analysis on inventory discrepancies or stock shortages to implement corrective actions. Contribute to category management initiatives by analyzing sales performance and inventory turnover rates. Participate in process improvement projects aimed at enhancing warehouse efficiency, reducing costs, and streamlining materials handling procedures. Maintain compliance with safety standards during heavy lifting or materials movement activities. Qualifications Proven experience in warehouse distribution, inventory management, or supply chain operations. Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS), ERP systems (such as SAP or AS400), and data analytics tools like Power BI or Tableau. Familiarity with procurement processes, sourcing strategies, and supplier relationship management. Proficiency in data collection, analysis skills, and financial modeling related to inventory control. Ability to perform root cause analysis and implement effective solutions for process improvement. Experience with logistics coordination including shipping & receiving, order fulfillment, and materials handling. Physical capability for heavy lifting and working in a fast-paced warehouse environment. Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail; ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
