Our goal of providing quality products to make homes look better and last longer is a primary focus to our customers. Cycle Counter Overview Quality Edge is looking for qualified candidates to fill a full-time blended position as a receiving material handler and cycle counter. Top candidates will be self-starters, require minimum supervision, have excellent attention to detail, and be eager to resolve inventory issues and suggest resolutions. This position will be trained on receiving, cycle counting, work order processing, and other critical functions within the Purchasing and Supply Chain group. Good candidates will be driven by a will to expand their skillsets within the organization.
Responsibilities Include:
Keeping an accurate count on products by physically counting inventory. Unloading trucks in receiving and putting materials away in the correct locations. Organizing raw material storage to maximize space available. Ensure materials are in proper locations. Conducts searches in order to locate misclassified inventory. Working regularly with production, receiving and shipping to resolve inventory issues. Report inventory discrepancies and any damaged product to supervision. Learn all of the receiving paperwork. Must be able to work as part of a team to ensure all company standards are met. Coordinating with Shipping and Production teams to drive inventory accuracy goals. Miscellaneous activities to maintain inventory accuracy through proper processing of material receipts, transfers, and issues.
Requirements Include:
Must be available for late morning shift, Monday - Friday; 10 am - 6 pm. 1-year fork truck operation and other industrial motorized equipment. Good understanding of effective inventory management. Problem solving, attention to detail, and mathematical skills. Able to use and navigate JD Edwards. Ability to document procedures. Product & SKU knowledge. Being customer service focused with good communication skills. A high standard for accuracy. Ensure all safety rules are strictly observed. Help maintain neat, clean and orderly plant appearance. Ability to work extended hours/over-time as needed as well as some Saturdays. Flexible to assist with other departments during peak times.
