Shift Material Coordinator Job Summary:
Material Control Technician II will be responsible for picking automotive parts, and getting them ready to move to the shop floor. In addition to physically moving material, this position requires processing the material moves in an ERP system. The right candidate must be reliable, have attention to detail, and have strong automotive and material control background including using a computer to process material in an ERP (inventory management) system. This position also requires providing support to move freight in and out of trucks and around the warehouse. •
Note:
This position is not just a Hilo driver position. Experience with driving a Hilo is a requirement, but is only about 25% of the job duties. Picking, pulling and systematically processing materials accounts for the remainder.•
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. Minimum of 2 years of material control experience in a automotive manufacturing environment. MUST have good experience managing inventory using a computer and making transactions. Ability to drive a Hi-Lo and pass our internal training course. Experience recording/tracking inventory in an ERP system. Excellent analytical and mathematical skills. Excellent data entry and computer skills.. Good written and verbal skills. Accurate cycle count/inventory experience. Experience with receiving and distributing parts in a warehouse or production operation. Must be detailed oriented with excellent organization skills. Ability to work independently in a fast paced environment. Clean, organize, remove packing dunnage, and keep work area clean. Education and Experience (required): High school diploma or equivalent. Minimum of 2 years of material control experience. Education and Experience (preferred): Valid Drivers License Experience using Peoplesoft (ERP system) Skills, Knowledge and Abilities (required): Good customer service, reliable attendance, and ability to work overtime. Detail oriented, effective written and verbal communication skills. Ability to obtain or qualify for an industrial truck license. Ability to read, count and communicate inventory data both written and verbal, follow directions, learn new skills and technologies and multi-task in a fast-paced work environment. Intermediate computer skills (Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel). Worker Instructions? Candidates will need to interview during day shift. Hired contractors will be expected to train on day shift for two weeks before moving to 2nd shift.(6am - 2:30pm) 2nd shift hours will be 3:30pm - 12:00am (OT as needed) Special accommodations may be possible for some more experienced candidates if they are not able to train on 1st shift. #HRUGeneral
