Full-Time Job Overview The Restoration Textile Inventory Clerk is responsible for cataloging, packing, tracking, and managing damaged soft goods from property loss sites through the restoration pipeline. This includes on-site packing, facility intake, tagging, managing cleaning workflows, and preparing restored items for pack-back delivery to the homeowner.
Log damaged soft goods at residential or commercial job sites using restoration inventory software (e.g., Encircle, iCAT, or CodeBlue). Photograph items and record condition, room location, and brand/description.
Intake & Tagging:
Receive incoming textile loads at the facility, verify item counts, and apply barcoded inventory tags or heat seals to maintain accurate chain of custody for every garment or item.
Condition & Loss Assessment:
Identify and document non-salvageable items (heavy scorch, severe dry rot, soot saturation) and flag them for adjuster review and total-loss listing.
Cleaning Workflow Tracking:
Route items to appropriate processing lines (wet wash, dry clean, ozone chamber, or leather care) and update software status as items move from cleaning to finishing and assembly.
Vault Management & Pack-Back:
Organize cleaned garments on hanging racks or in vaulted storage. Box, label, and stage completed orders for scheduled return delivery to property owners.
