Job Title:
Warehouse/Inventory Control Specialist Job Description Join our dynamic team as a Warehouse/Inventory Control Specialist, where you will play a crucial role in monitoring and maintaining inventory levels. This full-time position operates on a first shift schedule from Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 4 PM, with occasional Saturdays. Enjoy the benefits of overtime pay for any hours worked over 40 and double time on Sundays. Responsibilities Conduct audits, including cycle counts, as directed by upper management and track bar and plate inventory. Make inventory adjustments as necessary, following directions from upper management. Assist external auditors during inventory audits. Support ISO requirements and provide relevant inventory information. Help create training criteria and train personnel on proper SM3 system usage for inventory transactions. Report individuals needing additional training or frequent errors to their immediate supervisors. Collaborate with others to resolve inventory issues. Complete additional projects as assigned by management. Receive incoming materials and unload trucks using forklifts, side loaders, or cranes. Training will be provided. Essential Skills Ability to reconcile counts and accurately report data. Database management skills. Familiarity with inventory control, shipping and receiving, data entry, and cycle counts. Basic computer skills, including typing emails and using spreadsheets. Experience with ERP systems, specifically SM3 used in the steel industry. Attention to detail and accuracy in counting, verifying, and inputting data. Experience with RF scan guns, warehouse packing, production, shipping & receiving, forklift, and crane operations. Additional Skills & Qualifications High school diploma required. High level of attention to detail and accuracy. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Ability to work independently. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including emails and data entry in spreadsheets. Why Work Here? Work Environment Work in a fast-paced manufacturing setting specializing in metals service and distribution. Safety is a priority, with steel-toe boots provided at the start. The dress code includes jeans and long sleeve shirts, excluding sweats and leggings. Our facility provides essential services such as annealing, grinding, heat treating, machining, sawing, cutting, and straightening for industrial applications. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Saginaw, MI. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.
