POSITION PURPOSE
(Summary) Supply Clerk has general responsibility for receiving and distribution of all material and supplies for the Hospital, stocking and restocking supplies for Nursing and other Hospital departments. Duties include maintaining a well-stocked and organized Central Supply area, processing supplies, and assisting with requisitions, purchase orders and invoices. The Clerk must have good computer skills including using the Internet, Microsoft office, and be able to generate purchase orders, receive items, collect, and assist with the verification/approval of invoices. Central Supply is a service and support department and must interface with all Hospital departments in a professional and helpful manner Performs all duties in a manner consistent with the mission and values of
MVMC. GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES 1.
Order supplies required by each department to perform its duties and generate purchase orders for the requested supplies. 2. Receive freight both physically and electronically. 3. Maintain inventory within Central Supply and issue items to the proper cost centers. 4. Assist with maintaining and updating the Inventory Master as needed. 5. Receive, fill, and deliver supplies requested through departmental requisition forms. 6. Match invoice(s) with received goods and services. 7. Satisfactory time and attendance. 8. Complete daily cycle counts of random inventory in Central Supply. 9. Perform weekly maintenance of autoclave. 10. Perform daily and monthly maintenance of ultrasonic cleaner. 11. Cleaning and sterilization of surgical instruments and dry goods. 12. Create requisitions for the clinic Exam rooms, treatment rooms, EKG cart and wound cart. 13. Fill requisitions for the Clinic location and Disperse using Distribution Manager in Cerner. 14. Assist with putting away all dispersed requisitions to its appropriate location. 15. Assist with Cycle counts in Central Supply 16. Assist with filling requisitions for all locations in the hospital. 17. Assist with tagging all inventory (350) numbers in Central Supply. 18. Assist with maintaining inventory levels in Central Supply. 19. Assist with sterilizing dirty instruments that have been collected. 20. Process instruments through the autoclave as needed. 21. Maintain inventory levels on Manual Excel worksheet as needed. 22. Assist with receiving inventor items into Central Supply. 23. Other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
(Education, License/Registration, Experience, Knowledge and Abilities) High School diploma or GED equivalent required. Experience with entry level purchasing/procurement preferred. Experience in a medical setting preferred, but not required. Strong interpersonal and customer service skills a must and strong computer proficiency. Knowledgeable in the use of computer, printer, fax machine, copier, and telephone required. CPR certification required. Knowledge and Abilities Ability to follow oral and written directions at a level necessary to accomplish the job. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS
The demands and conditions described here are representative of those the employee must meet to perform the essential functions of the job (see special accommodation statement). Extensive standing and walking with occasional reaching stooping, kneeling, and crouching. Must be able to lift, carry, push, or pull at least 25 pounds. Very good close vision and the ability to identify and distinguish color. Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Work is in a clean office environment. Noise level is quiet to moderate. Frequent keyboarding and repetitive movements.
