Position Overview:
The Receiver is responsible for receiving and checking in products daily from vendors. This role is responsible for ensuring delivered items match ordered products.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
1. Maintain excellent vendor relations to enhance service levels the Co-op receives from vendors 2. Count items coming into the Co-op to reconcile physical product to invoiced product 3. Make adjustments on invoices for discrepancies or otherwise get credit for problems 4. Sign and date all corrected invoices to verify receipt of goods 5. Keep back room clear and free of debris to minimize the risk of accidents 6. Make bales when the cardboard baler is full 7. Reconcile invoices to department, ensure invoices for correct department, and deliver invoices to office 8. Process paperwork on the computer for each delivery to enter items into inventory 9. Work with Inventory Control to maintain an accurate inventory 10. Keep receiving desk clean and orderly Additional Information Help for Additional Information.
Qualifications Required Skills/Experience and Attributes:
1. High School diploma or equivalent required 2. Strong comfort with multiple computer software systems and technology necessary 3. Strong customer service skills required 4. Strong attention to detail 5. Excellent follow through
Physical Demands:
Lifting up to 60 lbs. comfortably on a regular basis, walking, standing for long periods, sitting, keyboarding, reaching, bending, and carrying.
Attendance Requirements:
Five shifts from Monday through Saturday, as early as 4am to complete work that must be done before the store opens. Hours must be flexible to meet receiving needs.
