Job Summary We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Car Inventory Clerk to join our team. In this role, you will manage vehicle inventory records, coordinate stock movements, and ensure accurate tracking of all cars within our dealership. Your efforts will help streamline operations, improve inventory accuracy, and support our overall customer service excellence. Responsibilities Maintain precise records of all vehicles arriving and departing from the dealership using inventory management software and ERP systems. Conduct regular audits of vehicle stock to identify discrepancies and implement process improvements for inventory control. Coordinate with sales, service, and logistics teams to facilitate efficient vehicle stocking, shipping, receiving, and order fulfillment. Utilize data mining and analytics tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Nielsen to analyze inventory trends and optimize stock levels. Assist in procurement activities by sourcing vehicles from suppliers, negotiating terms, and managing contracts related to inventory acquisition. Perform root cause analysis on inventory discrepancies or process inefficiencies to develop effective solutions. Operate forklifts and materials handling equipment safely for vehicle movement within the lot or warehouse environment. Skills Strong warehouse distribution and warehouse management experience with a focus on automotive inventory. Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS), ERP systems such as AS400 or SAP, and inventory management software. Data collection, analysis skills, and experience with data visualization tools like Power BI or Tableau. Knowledge of logistics, supply chain management, procurement, and demand planning processes. Technical proficiency in spreadsheets (Excel), SQL, and data analytics for process improvement initiatives. Strong cross-functional communication skills to collaborate effectively across departments. Familiarity with shipping & receiving procedures, materials handling, and contracts management.
