This role ensures uninterrupted workflow for assembly technicians while maintaining high standards of quality control, inventory accuracy, and facility cleanliness.
Key Responsibilities Pre-Kitting & Material Preparation Read and interpret work orders, bills of materials (BOM), and pick sheets to determine required components. Pull exact quantities of raw materials, parts, hardware, or packaging supplies from warehouse storage locations. Group, bundle, bag, or package components into labeled kits for specific production orders. Use handheld RF scanners, scales, and inventory software to track material movement and confirm kit completeness. Stage completed kits at designated assembly stations or drop zones according to the production schedule. Quality & Inventory Control Perform visual quality checks on all components for damage, defects, or incorrect specifications prior to kitting. Immediately report inventory shortages, discrepancies, or damaged stock to line supervisors. Apply accurate labels, barcodes, and work order tracking tags to finished kits.
