Fort Drum Full Food Serv Shift:
Up to 37 hours per week (hours will vary based on operational needs) Are you organized, dependable, and ready to play a key role in keeping our food service operations running smoothly? We're looking for a Receiving and Stock Clerk to join our team at the Fort Drum dining facility. In this position, you'll be the backbone of our supply chain—making sure our kitchen staff always have what they need to serve great meals. Keep accurate records of food inventory so everything is accounted for. Receive deliveries, check shipments against purchase orders, and ensure everything matches up. Organize and store supplies with care, rotating perishable items using FIFO methods. Distribute supplies quickly and efficiently to the right departments. Maintain clean, safe, and organized storage areas, refrigerators, and freezers. Prepare clear inventory and usage reports for management. Work closely with vendors, kitchen staff, and internal teams to coordinate supply needs. Provide friendly, responsive service—answering questions and resolving issues with professionalism. Stock shelves, rotate merchandise, and create neat, appealing displays. What You'll Need to beSuccessful:
Minimum of 1 to 2 years of experience in inventory control, food service operations, or supply coordination. Experience working in a food service, dining facility, warehouse, stockroom, or similar environment. Valid Real ID. Must be able to obtain and maintain government base access.Bonus If You Have These Skills:
Experience interacting with vendors, kitchen staff, or internal teams in a service‑oriented setting. Experience using basic record‑keeping methods, inventory logs, or simple reporting tools. Basic understanding of food safety best practices. Ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced environment. Ability to prioritize tasks and respond quickly to supply needs. Ability to maintain accuracy and attention to detail in all inventory‑related tasks. Ability to follow procedures, safety rules, and sanitation standards consistently. Must have manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination for handling supplies, operating controls, and performing basic food prep. Works in environments with varying temperatures, including hot kitchen areas and cold storage units such as walk-in refrigerators and freezers. Exposed to moderate to high noise levels from kitchen equipment, ventilation systems, and team communication. Frequently encounters strong food odors, cleaning chemicals, and steam; sensory tolerance is necessary. Must remain alert in areas with wet or slippery floors and wear appropriate slip-resistant footwear.
