WHAT WILL YOU DO AS A PHARMACY INVENTORY CLERK?
The Inventory Clerk is responsible for all the technical aspects of controlled substance delivery and inventory. This includes delivery to nursing stations, maintaining correct inventory, obtaining proper nursing administration records and monitoring internal dispensing and purchasing. The position also performs all the pre-packing and floor stock activities of the department and must be familiar with the activities of other members of the department. In addition, the Pharmacy Inventory Control Clerk is responsible for placing the daily wholesale order, and covering for the Pharmacy Purchasing Associate when they are off. Responsible for the following functions of the automated dispensing cabinets, including the narcotics vault: maintaining an adequate stock of all controlled substances both in the pharmacy and unit-based cabinets, monthly checks for outdates, processing all returns, troubleshooting errors and discrepancies. Fills floor stock orders/requisitions for ancillary departments within 48 hours of receipt. Prepacks oral solids, bulk items and special products. Prepacks according to procedures. Check and refill all emergency cart trays and boxes. Maintains appropriate record keeping Check assigned area for drug expiration dates. Work is accurate and thorough, attention to detail is evident, seeks information and assistance when necessary. Completes all assignments within the allotted time frame. All inventories are correct and any discrepancies are reported to the pharmacy and nursing leadership. Inventory levels are maintained. Assist with other Pharmacy Technician related duties All other technician related duties as assigned

EDUCATION
AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT
(S): High School Diploma Required. An Associates Degree in Pharmacy or Business is preferred. One year's experience as a pharmacy technician is required. Salary Range:
$ 20.21-$29.31 /hour Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the state.
