Job Description

ASE Cert Desired but not required. Are you a Parts Specialist that's tired of the daily grind of: "Check the Computer, grab the part, and get rid of the Customer?" Ohio Mini Excavator, a veteran-owned, BBB Certified "A+" rated, start-up here at our current location in Hartville is looking to hire a Lead Parts & Inventory Manager for our brand new, state of the art Dealership. We will be moving to Canton South this Summer as soon as our building is finished. Pay based on experience. This is a early start up that is growing exponentially.
A successful candidate should:
Be enthusiastic and able familiar with all sections of an operable earthmoving/heavy equipment service including hydraulic systems, small diesel engines, and diagnostics. This position will require in depth problem solving, with no help
  • we are relying on you to be able to figure it out on your own! You will be the Parts and Inventory Lead-working closely with the lead technician and sales manager
  • in regards to parts, stocking, inventory control, shipping, presentation, and delivery.
You will be among the first to represent the brand throughout the country! We are looking for a current or former parts specialist at an automotive or heavy equipment dealership, parts store, or repair center. Experience here is everything. We expect hands on experience to hold this position. You will be starting a parts warehouse from a blank slate and are expected to be able to implement a system that tightly controls inventory, take customer calls, and provide parts as needed. This is not an 'Entry-Level' position.
  • Must over-communicate. Not only with your Team, but with repair technicians, and sales teams. Transparency.
  • Must be ' humble, approachable, & credible
  • You will often work on your own to ensure customer satisfaction. Teams respond well to a well versed yet polite department lead.
  • Have own transportation and a current Driver's License. Towing knowledge (bumper pull) and loading procedures/tie down is a must.
  • Be comfortable working alone and unsupervised
  • MUST be self-motivated and honest.
  • Be generally knowledgable or able to quickly learn single cylinder, V-Twin, gas engines. Many of our 'minis' are very simple and are equipped with such. We are talking the easiest Predator, Briggs, & Honda motors
  • nothing crazy. Other 'minis' have small diesel motors
  • we only offer Kubota, Perkins, & Yanmar diesels which have a very wide range of parts availability. You will need to know the basics of how the machine operates to provide parts.
  • Experience in inventory control systems
  • from small parts & large attachments, to computer controlled inventory control systems
  • of your choice. A successful candidate should be intimately familiar in computers, Microsoft Office, and the inventory software you choose to employ (Company Provided.)
  • EXCELLENCE
    in customer service with emphasis on empathy, relations, and your fellow Team.
  • General knowledge of cleaning, paint correction, waxing etc..
  • Ability to learn, adapt and apply knowledge to current and future inventory
ASE CERTIFIED PARTS SPECIALISTS WILL QUALIFY FOR A HIGHER WAGE.
This is a hands-on job in a heated, indoor space, but also includes outdoor inventory retrieval (rain or shine), repair & diagnosis over Video Call with our Techs, deliveries, pickups, and trailering. We are looking for an honest person who puts integrity first and will treat our team as if they are family. In our new building, you will have your own work area, dedicated to you.
