Job Description

Primary Location Burnet Campus Department Material Mgt Shift Evening (United States of America) Schedule Full time Weekly Hours 40 FTE 1 Employee Status Regular •Expected Starting Pay Range $16.50 - $19.80 •Starting pay is based on experience, skills, and equity; exceptions may apply for highly qualified candidates. Additional pay (e.g., shift, on‑call, or weekend differentials) and benefits may apply. Annual pay may vary based on FTE status.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Scheduling & Case Readiness Review daily operating room schedules to prioritize supply, equipment, and instrument needs based on procedure type, case acuity, and surgeon preference cards Collaborate with perioperative staff to review upcoming surgical schedules Ensure required supplies, implants, instrumentation, and equipment are available before scheduled procedures OR Supplies & Inventory Management Maintain appropriate inventory levels of surgical supplies, implants, instruments, and procedural equipment in operating rooms, sub-sterile rooms, and designated storage locations Replenish supplies using automated inventory systems, handheld devices, and established par levels Process supply requests and orders through approved systems Coordinate replacement of critical items to prevent procedural delays Receiving, Distribution & Equipment Support Receive, stage, inspect, and distribute surgical supplies, implants, and equipment throughout perioperative services Coordinate timely delivery of urgent and stat case items to operating rooms and procedural areas Facilitate the return, exchange, and tracking of supplies, equipment, and vendor inventory as needed Collaboration & Customer Service Partner with surgeons, nurses, surgical technologists, anesthesia staff, vendors, sterile processing, and supply chain teams to support safe, efficient patient care Ensure supplies and equipment are available when and where needed Communicate proactively about inventory shortages, backorders, and supply concerns Serve as a resource for perioperative inventory processes Assist with training and onboarding team members as assigned
