Precision Tools is looking for an Inventory Control Associate to help maintain accurate inventory, support customer orders, and keep our distribution operations running efficiently. What You'll Do As an Inventory Control Associate (B), you'll ensure products and materials are available when needed, inventory records remain accurate, and customer orders are processed on time.
Key Responsibilities Inventory Control & Accuracy:
Maintain accurate inventory records for finished goods, raw materials, and supplies. Perform cycle counts for carousel and static shelving inventory.
Order Fulfillment & Material Picking:
Process material pick plans and accurately pick products for customer orders from static shelving.
Material Receipts & Put-Away:
Process production receipts, accurately count and stage materials, and put away receipts in designated static shelving locations.
Inventory Transactions & Systems:
Complete detailed inventory transactions in the Company information system to maintain accurate inventory records and material locations.
Customer Returns & RMA Processing:
Accurately count, stage, and process customer and external distribution center returns (RMAs).
Carousel & Distribution Support:
Provide backup support for carousel machine operations and other Inventory Control Associate A functions as needed.
Quality & Customer Satisfaction:
Follow quality standards, work instructions, and reporting requirements while supporting accurate order fulfillment and customer satisfaction.
Teamwork & Continuous Improvement:
Participate in department and team meetings, help refine work procedures, and support continuous improvement and a safe, organized work environment. What You Bring Required High school diploma or GED. Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to count, identify, and handle inventory, and materials accurately. Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment. Ability to successfully complete all position training requirements. Preferred Previous distribution center, warehouse, or inventory control experience. Experience with inventory management systems or warehouse transactions. Basic Microsoft Word and Excel skills for documentation and reporting. Physical Requirements & Work Environment Work in a well-lit, climate-controlled distribution center with moderate to loud noise levels. Ability to frequently stand, walk, bend, reach, climb stairs, and perform repetitive gripping and wrist movements. Ability to frequently lift, carry, push, and pull materials weighing up to 50 lbs. Ability to occasionally reach above shoulder height and below the waist to retrieve materials and finished products. Ability to safely handle sharp cutting tools and wear required personal protective equipment. Ability to visually identify small chips, cracks, voids, and similar defects in finished products, with or without reasonable accommodation.
