Samuels Seafood Company, the premier distributor of fresh and frozen seafood in the U.S., is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Inventory Assistant to join our fast-paced and dynamic team.
What You'll Do:
As an Inventory Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the movement of inventory from third-party cold storage facilities to the main warehouse, ensuring adequate stock levels are maintained. You will also assist with inventory counts and investigate discrepancies to help maintain accurate inventory records.
Responsibilities:
Coordinate inventory transfers from third-party cold storage facilities to the main warehouse. Manage PAR levels for frozen, pasteurized, and dry goods. Coordinate pickups and transportation with storage providers and carriers. Perform inventory counts for frozen, pasteurized, fresh, and dry goods. Maintain accurate inventory balances. Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies. Assume ownership of dry goods inventory counts following training. Support management reporting. Prepare monthly inventory reports, including inventory aging reports. Assist with ad hoc reporting and analysis as needed.
