An Inventory Associate monitors warehouse inventory and places orders with vendors for supplies. Conducts regular or occasional audits of inventory or sections of a warehouse.
This position supports the daily operations of the hotel warehouse and food & beverage storerooms. The role is hands-on and focused on receiving deliveries, stocking product, organizing storage areas, rotating inventory, and keeping the warehouse and coolers clean and orderly. It is an active, physical role that works closely with the loading dock, kitchens, and outlets to make sure the resort has the product it needs to operate. Responsibilities:
Receiving & Deliveries Receive daily deliveries at the loading dock Unload trucks using pallet jack or carts Verify quantities against delivery paperwork Inspect product for damage, quality, and proper expiration dates Report shortages or damaged items to supervisor Sign and process delivery paperwork after inspection Stocking & Organization Put away deliveries into dry storage, coolers, and freezers Properly label and date all products Follow FIFO rotation (first in, first out) for all food and beverage items Organize shelves, racks, and storage areas Stage product for kitchen and outlet pickups Assist with internal deliveries across the resort when needed Warehouse & Sanitation Maintain cleanliness of warehouse, coolers, and freezers Break down boxes and remove trash and pallets Sweep, mop, and keep storage areas safe and uncluttered Monitor temperatures and proper storage conditions Help prevent product spoilage and damage Inventory Support Assist with daily requisitions to kitchens and outlets Help count inventory during monthly inventory Assist with product rotation and checking expiration dates Support supervisors during inventory audits
Qualifications:
This position is an entry point into hotel operations and purchasing. Associates who demonstrate reliability, organization, and teamwork may be trained for additional responsibilities and future advancement within the department. Must be flexible and able to work am and pm shifts, weekends and holidays. Must be able to handle repeated lifting, pushing, pulling and carrying up to 50 pounds.
