Job Description
Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Inventory Clerk to join our supply chain and warehouse team. The ideal candidate will possess strong data analysis skills, excellent organizational abilities, and a comprehensive understanding of inventory control processes. As an Inventory Clerk, you will play a vital role in maintaining accurate stock levels, optimizing warehouse operations, and supporting procurement activities to ensure seamless supply chain flow. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to process improvement initiatives and enhance overall logistics efficiency within a dynamic organization. Duties
- Perform Cycle Counts, Empty Locations Reports, Mixed Locations Reports and researching inventory using
SAP & WMS
Systems- Inventory control, receiving, stocking
- Follow company guidelines and established programs.
- Conducting inventory counting processes to ensure a shipment's accuracy
- Evaluating and managing stock rotation procedures
- Maintaining inventory storage space in the store's warehouse
- Training store staff in stocking procedures and product dating methods
- Planning store warehouse space usage
- Placing inventory restock orders
- Communicating with management about any inventory issues that arise if products are missing or damaged within a shipment
- Managing and maintaining inventory records using an inventory management software system Experience
- At least 2 years' experience in a distribution facility including shipping, receiving, stacking, picking, packing and palletizing finished products.
- Experience with operating a fork lift (Reach Truck, Order Picker)
- Able to lift up to 60lbs, consistently throughout a shift
- Ability to effectively work unsupervised and is self-motivated.
- Strong communication and analytical skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Personal computer skills and a general knowledge of Microsoft products and Computerized Warehouse Management Systems
- Able to work independently
- Must be very reliable and available to work an occasional Saturday or Sunday
- Prior experience performing daily location maintenance
- Prior experience with inventory controls in a fast paced, high volume warehouse environment
- Requires extreme attention to detail due to high variation in process/importation requirements per country Shift 1st shift (Monday-Friday , 6AM-230PM/done)(Must be willing to work Saturday/Sunday Shifts if needed) #
