As an Operator, you will play a key role in the warehouse by accurately selecting and picking products based on customer orders. Your responsibilities include retrieving items from designated locations within the warehouse and preparing them for shipment. The role requires attention to detail, efficiency, and adherence to safety and quality standards.
Essential Role Functions Order Processing:
Review and understand customer orders to determine the items and quantities to be picked Utilize order sheets and handheld devices (RF Gun) to locate and confirm the location of products within the warehouse
Picking and Packing:
Safely and efficiently retrieve products from shelves and racks, or other storage areas using appropriate equipment Carefully stack cases on wooden pallets ensuring proper handling to prevent damage during transit
Accuracy and Quality Control:
Verify the accuracy of picked items by comparing them to order specifications Conduct visual inspections to ensure the quality and condition of products meet our company standards
Safety Compliance:
Adhere to safety guidelines and protocols to minimize the risk of accidents or injuries Operate equipment in a safe and responsible manner, following established procedures
Inventory Management:
Keep accurate records of picked items and report any discrepancies or issues to supervisors Assist in periodic physical inventory counts as needed
Team Collaboration:
Work collaboratively with warehouse team members, supervisors, and other departments to achieve overall organizational goals Additional tasks as assigned Work Experience Requirements/Qualifications for This Role High school diploma or equivalent Time Management and prioritization skills Warehouse or inventory management experience Familiarity with Warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory tracking software Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Communication skills to work effectively with team members and suppliers Ability to lift and carry heavy objects and operate material handling equipment (if necessary). Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures Ability to prioritize tasks Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
