Full Job Description Job Purpose:
- The Grader - Miscel position at Goodwill Industries of Dallas Inc is integral to the organization's mission of empowering individuals and strengthening communities through employment opportunities. This full-time role involves assessing and sorting donated items to ensure quality standards are met, thereby supporting the organization's charitable endeavors and retail operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Evaluate and grade donated items based on established quality criteria to determine suitability for resale. Sort and categorize items efficiently to facilitate smooth processing and inventory management. Collaborate with team members to ensure a safe and organized work environment. Maintain accurate records of graded items and report any discrepancies or issues to the supervisor. Assist in maintaining cleanliness and orderliness of the grading area to promote operational efficiency. Support Goodwill's mission by adhering to company policies and contributing to a positive workplace culture.
Required Education:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Required Experience:
Previous experience in a similar role or environment is preferred. Experience working within a not-for-profit or charitable organization is advantageous.
Required Skills and Abilities:
Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain high levels of accuracy in grading tasks. Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Good communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively interact with team members and supervisors. Basic computer skills, including familiarity with data entry and inventory management systems. Physical ability to perform tasks that may include lifting, standing, and moving items as required by the role.
