Kitting Associate VanTran Industries, Inc. - 1.0 Waco, TX Job Details 18 hours ago Qualifications Computer operation Barcode scanners Barcode scanning for logistics Computer skills Full Job Description The Kitting associate supports the production lines by ensuring workstations are continuously supplied with materials, tools, and components to minimize downtime and maintain efficient workflow.
Key Responsibilities:
Picking Components:
Locating and pulling individual parts, materials, or products from warehouse shelves based on a customer order.
Assembly & Packaging:
Grouping the components together, placing them into designated bins or boxes, and preparing them for transit staging into a designated area.
Quality Verification:
Ensuring that kits are complete, accurate, and meet customer or production line specifications.
Inventory Management:
Updating Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), maintaining an organized staging area, and restocking component inventory as needed. Key Skills & Requirements High Attention to
Detail:
Essential for verifying part numbers, ensuring correct quantities, and avoiding picking errors.
Physical Stamina:
The ability to stand/walk for long shifts, and frequently bend, reach, and for lift packages (up to 25 pounds).
Basic Computer/Scanner Literacy:
Familiarity with scanning devices or computer terminals to track inventory and kit assemblies.
Teamwork:
Coordinating with inventory managers, supervisors, and other fulfillment associates to meet daily production quotas.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Manufacturing or warehouse experience preferred. Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and work in a fast-paced environment. Strong organizational, communication, and teamwork skills. Forklift certification is a plus.
