Job Description
Job Summary The Cycle Counter Clerk is responsible for tracking inventory of various materials; finding the root causes for inventory discrepancies and accurately recording inventory counts in the system. Principle Duties and Responsibilities Counts and tracks physical inventory Maintains accurate records of counts and frequency of counts Communicates any variances or inventory discrepancies to management Records inventory counts in the accounting system Investigates any inventory discrepancies and document any corrections Ensures accuracy of the information in the system and compliance with internal controls Prepares various reports and correspondence as required Performs other duties as required Qualifications High school diploma Minimum one year of experience in inventory control or related area Working knowledge of inventory internal controls, and company procedures Working knowledge of Excel, Word and Outlook Basic knowledge of lumber math, lumber grades and species Preferred understanding of company policies, practices and procedures
