Job Description

DESCRIPTION
The Personal Protective Equipment (PCE) Support Specialist provides material handling and supply support associated with personal protective equipment used during training operations. The position is responsible for receiving, storing, issuing, cleaning, and maintaining protective clothing and equipment required for training activities. The position supports training operations by ensuring that necessary equipment and supplies are available, properly maintained, and prepared for use. The position primarily performs supply handling, inventory control, equipment preparation, and documentation activities associated with PPE management. DUTIES Receiving, storing, and distributing personal protective equipment and related materials used during training operations. Maintaining inventory of protective clothing and equipment and ensuring adequate supplies are available to support training activities. Collecting used equipment following training exercises and preparing items for cleaning, laundering, or reuse in accordance with established procedures. Tracking inventory levels and documenting equipment usage using logs, spreadsheets, or inventory systems. Inspecting equipment for visible wear or damage and reporting deficiencies to supervisory personnel. Maintaining organized storage areas and ensuring protective equipment is properly staged for operational use. Assisting with receipt and verification of equipment and supply shipments. Maintaining daily logs and records related to equipment issuance, return, and inventory status. Assisting supervisory personnel during inspections and inventory reviews by providing documentation and supply information. These duties primarily involve handling, storing, distributing, and maintaining materials and supplies, consistent with material handling support functions.
QUALIFICATIONS U. S.
Citizen able to complete a national Crime Information check and financial institutions/credit bureau check. Applicants will be required to sign a Freedom of Information Disclosure statement. Must be able to pass a background check and financial review. Preferred depth of knowledge and experience in Federal Facilities in general and at the Center for Domestic Preparedness in particular. Required High school diploma or GED. Ability to lift and move equipment and materials weighing up to 50 pounds. Ability to perform physical tasks associated with receiving, storing, and distributing equipment and supplies. Ability to maintain inventory records and basic documentation. Ability to pass background screening and required security checks. Preferred Experience in supply handling, warehouse operations, or inventory control. Familiarity with handling protective equipment or safety supplies. Experience working in government or training environments. Education Highschool Graduate or GED required
