Shamrock Foods Company seeks an Inventory Control Specialist to ensure accurate, reliable inventory across our Phoenix foodservice distribution operations. In this on-site role, you will perform daily counts, investigate variances, and maintain precise item locations for broadline and specialty products. You'll use WMS/ERP tools to track movements, support cycle counts and physical inventories, and prepare reports for leadership. Partnering with receiving, shipping, and operations teams, you'll help prevent stockouts, reduce shrink, and uphold safety, quality, and FIFO standards in a fast-paced warehouse environment. Responsibilities Manage daily inventory counts and reconcile variances across warehouse locations Monitor stock levels to support order fulfillment and minimize stockouts or overages Use warehouse management and ERP systems to track inventory movements and adjustments Investigate discrepancies, perform root-cause analysis, and recommend process improvements Coordinate with receiving, shipping, and operations teams to ensure accurate data entry Prepare inventory reports, KPIs, and audit documentation for leadership review Support cycle counts, physical inventories, and compliance with company standards Maintain accurate item labeling, locations, and rotation (FIFO) for foodservice products Identify slow-moving or obsolete stock and assist with disposition decisions Follow safety, food handling, and quality procedures in a warehouse environment Required Skills Inventory management Cycle counting Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) ERP data entry and reconciliation Data analysis and reporting (Excel) Root cause analysis Stock rotation (FIFO) and lot tracking Basic math and accuracy with counts Cross-functional coordination Knowledge of warehouse safety procedures
