Job Description

Inventory Specialist Position Summary:
The Inventory Specialist is a critical role responsible for managing and optimizing the company's inventory control systems, ensuring accurate stock levels, and maintaining efficient supply chain operations. This position plays a key role in supporting logistics and manufacturing processes through meticulous inventory management and data analysis.

Logistics Manager Role Responsibilities:
The Inventory Specialist will be responsible for the following duties, including but not limited to: Inventory Control and Management Develop, implement, and continuously improve inventory control systems and best practices Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits Manage and reconcile inventory discrepancies Maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory records in the company's management system Supply Chain and Data Analysis Analyze supply chain data to identify trends, potential issues, and optimization opportunities Generate comprehensive inventory reports for management Monitor stock levels and recommend appropriate reorder points Investigate and resolve inventory-related discrepancies Collaborate with procurement team to ensure optimal stock levels Communication and Coordination Maintain high-level communication between warehouse coordinators, manufacturing coordinators, and customers Coordinate with multiple departments to ensure smooth inventory flow Provide timely updates and reports to supervisors and management Respond to internal and external inquiries related to inventory status Materials Management Process and record materials receiving Verify incoming shipments for accuracy and quality Manage and track inventory transfers between locations Ensure proper storage and handling of inventory items System and Documentation Maintain and update inventory management software and databases Develop and maintain detailed documentation of inventory processes Implement and follow company inventory policies and procedures Support continuous improvement initiatives in inventory management
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field preferred High school diploma or equivalent required Experience / Skills /
Abilities:
2-3 years of experience in inventory management or related field Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Exceptional attention to detail Ability to follow detailed written and verbal work instructions in English Strong verbal and written communication skills Working knowledge of company policies and procedures Proven understanding of inventory management practices and cycle counting Advanced analytical and logistical thinking abilities Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills Strong time management and organizational skills
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in inventory management software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics) Experience with barcode scanning and RFID technologies Understanding of ERP systems Basic data analysis and reporting skills Job Expectations /
Working Conditions:
Physical Requirements:
Regularly required to remain in a stationary position for prolonged periods Occasionally required to descend/ascend stairs Occasionally required to walk the plant area May require bending, reaching, squatting, pulling, and pushing Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally
Work Environment:
Combination of office and warehouse/plant settings Potential exposure to various temperatures and warehouse conditions May require wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) Regular computer and database work
