We are seeking a detail-oriented Inventory Specialist to help ensure our stores remain compliant, organized, and fully stocked. Position Summary The Inventory Specialist is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records, ensuring compliance with California cannabis regulations, and supporting daily inventory operations. This role works closely with store leadership, buyers, and compliance teams to ensure inventory is received, tracked, counted, and reconciled accurately within METRC and company systems. Responsibilities Receive, verify, and process cannabis inventory deliveries. Ensure all inventory is accurately entered and accepted within METRC. Perform daily, weekly, and monthly inventory audits and cycle counts. Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies. Maintain compliance with all DCC and state cannabis regulations. Reconcile physical inventory with POS and METRC records. Monitor inventory movement, transfers, adjustments, and waste. Assist with preparing stores for compliance inspections and audits. Organize and maintain inventory storage areas and vaults. Collaborate with management to identify inventory trends and opportunities for improvement. Generate inventory reports and communicate findings to leadership. Ensure products are properly labeled, tagged, and stored according to company standards. Support store teams with inventory-related training and best practices. Qualifications Previous inventory, warehouse, retail, or cannabis industry experience preferred. Experience with METRC strongly preferred. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to identify discrepancies and troubleshoot inventory issues. Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, and inventory management systems. Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities. Strong communication and problem-solving skills. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods. Must meet all state requirements for employment in the cannabis industry. Preferred Experience Cannabis dispensary or distribution experience. METRC inventory management. Inventory auditing and cycle count experience. Compliance or regulatory experience
