Inventory Operations Project Coordinator (Southern California)
Location:
Los Angeles, California (Partial Remote)This role will require driving to several sites over the course of the assignment.12 month contract with the potential to extend or convert. Role OverviewThis position is responsible for supporting the planning, coordination, execution, and documentation of inventory setup activities across assigned operational sites. This role will assist with inventory configuration within the ERP system, physical organization of inventory locations, validation of setup accuracy, and ongoing coordination with operational stakeholders.

The successful candidate must be willing and able to travel between assigned sites to support implementation and readiness activities. Key ResponsibilitiesCoordinate inventory setup activities across multiple assigned sites, including ERP system configuration support, item and location setup, product organization, labeling, location mapping, and readiness validation.

Support warehouse and inventory control processes, including cycle counting, reconciliation, discrepancy resolution, and inventory accuracy reviews.

Assist with the physical organization of materials, supplies, and equipment to promote efficient workflow, accessibility, and operational readiness.

Travel between assigned operational sites to coordinate inventory setup, verify physical organization, and support on-site implementation activities.

Monitor project tasks, timelines, deliverables, action items, and follow-up activities to support timely completion of inventory setup milestones.

Collect, review, validate, and summarize inventory and operational data to identify discrepancies, trends, gaps, and opportunities for process improvement.

Provide and maintain accurate and professional status updates, reports, trackers, inventory records, project files, notes, and process documentation for leadership and operational stakeholders.

Serve as a professional point of contact for and execute project tasks with operations directors, managers, and supervisors.

Identify and escalate risks, delays, inventory discrepancies, system setup issues, and process concerns in a timely and appropriate manner.

Support standardization, continuous improvement, and adherence to established inventory setup and warehouse organization processes.

Required QualificationsMinimum of a High school diploma or equivalent and 2-3 years of experience in warehouse operations, inventory control, logistics, supply chain, materials management, or a related operational environment.

Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including sorting, filtering, basic formulas, data tracking, and report preparation.

Experience supporting inventory setup, stockroom organization, warehouse layout, materials management, or operational readiness activities.

Working knowledge of inventory control practices, including item setup, location setup, receiving, stocking, cycle counting, reconciliation, and inventory accuracy validation.

Basic analytical skills, including the ability to review data, identify discrepancies, summarize findings, and prepare reports or trackers.

Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with leadership, managers, supervisors, staff, and cross-functional partners.

Organizational, prioritization, and follow-through skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks, timelines, and competing priorities.

High attention to detail and commitment to documentation accuracy, inventory integrity, and process compliance.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in warehouse, office, stockroom, and operational environments.

Preferred QualificationsExperience using ERP systems, inventory management systems, or warehouse management systems to support item setup, location setup, inventory tracking, reconciliation, or reporting.

Experience developing or maintaining project trackers, dashboards, process documentation, or standard work.

Familiarity with physical inventory preparation, cycle counting, inventory reconciliation, warehouse layout optimization, and process improvement practices.

Experience working with cross-functional teams in operations, supply chain, logistics, facilities, finance, or information technology.

Work EnvironmentThis position requires work in warehouse, stockroom, office, and operational site environments. Regular site-to-site travel may be required to support ERP inventory setup, physical inventory organization, validation activities, stakeholder coordination, and implementation readiness. The role may require standing, walking, organizing materials, reviewing inventory locations, and supporting on-site operational activities.
