- Conduct thorough analysis of pricing, quantity, availability, and shipping times with vendors. Identify and recommend opportunities for product standardization and cost-effective alternatives. Conduct thorough analysis to obtain competitive quotes on all orders prior to submitting requisitions. Inventory and Stock Management
- Exercise sound judgment and decision making daily; evaluate and balance price, delivery, and quality concerns to best meet client's needs and keep supervisor informed of issues of concern. Perform physical inventories and maintain perpetual inventory records of stock quantities. Administrative
- Reconcile Purchasing Cards as assigned. Provide assistance to the department budget coordinator with reconciliation problems. Track spending in various budget sheets and purchase orders including keeping excellent inventory. Supply Delivery, Pick Up, and Distribution

- Nonexempt Compensation Salary placement is determined by the education, experience, and qualifications the candidate brings to the position, internal equity, and the hiring department's fiscal resources.
Hiring Range:
The hiring range for this position is $4,895 (Step 2)- $5,736 (Step 10) per month commensurate with candidate's education, experience, skills, and training.
CSU Classification Salary Range:
The CSU Classification Salary Range for this position is $4,799 (Step 1)- $6,992 (Step 20) per month.
Paid Time Off:
Up to 24 vacation days per year (based on employee group and/or length of service), 14 paid holidays, and 12 sick days annually with unlimited accrual.Health Coverage:

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities The ideal candidate will possess strong working knowledge of warehouse and inventory management operations, including receiving, storing, packing, and shipping materials and supplies, as well as methods for maintaining inventory records and forecasting routine supply needs. They will have the ability to quickly learn and apply CSU procurement practices, procedures, and material specifications while demonstrating general knowledge of facilities equipment, maintenance materials, and custodial operations. The successful candidate will be skilled in the use of Microsoft Office applications and systems such as Oracle PeopleSoft, Metabim, TrackPad, Mail Metering software, StarRez, TMA, and other business-related applications. They will demonstrate the ability to plan, coordinate, and lead the work of others, provide training and work direction, maintain accurate records, prepare reports and correspondence, and perform administrative, technical, and analytical duties with a high degree of accuracy. The candidate must also maintain confidentiality, communicate professionally with diverse stakeholders, and exhibit exceptional customer service and public relations skills. Ability to communicate with an ethnically and culturally diverse campus community. Education and Experience Equivalent to a bachelor's degree in a related field and two years of related related experience required. Experience in a storeroom or warehouse in the performance of work involving the receipt, storage, and issuance of a variety of supplies, material, and equipment preferred. Basic knowledge of common facility and custodial equipment maintenance.Licenses / Certificates
Valid California driver's license to drive university vehicle and to transport materials and equipment to various Housing sites required. Employees who are required to operate motorized vehicles and/or use their personal vehicle more than once a month on University business are required to take a mandatory Defensive Driving course and enroll in the DMV Employee Pull Notice (EPN) Program.
