Job Description
Per Diem Purchasing Associate / Central Supply Technician The Central Supply Technician follows established departmental policies, procedures, objectives, quality assurance programs and safety standards. This position is responsible for checking expiration dates, stock rotation, delivering and stocking supplies to nursing and respiratory units. Accountable for accurately cleaning and decontaminating supplies and equipment, according to designated principles of asepsis adhering to the specifications of all procedures. This role will promote teamwork with co-workers, customers and leadership by maintaining rapport and a cooperative and collaborative working relationship.
Experience, Education and Licensure Required:
One year of experience with medical supplies, equipment and surgical instrumentations preferred. Knowledge of sterilization techniques, medical instruments and equipment. Graduate of high school, or GED, some college preferred CRCST (Certified Registered Central Service Technician) Hands-on experience with purchasing software (e.g. MediTech) Proficient in
