Let's talk about the role! An Inventory Specialist oversees the storing, receiving and distributing processes of an organization's products and supplies. Their main duties include controlling the flow of supplies and equipment, tracking and analyzing inventory maintenance and developing protocols for loss mitigation.
Responsibilities:
Maintain Inventory accuracy via cycle counts. Review inventory discrepancies to find root cause and suggest strategies to minimize future occurrence. Maintain monthly inventory adjustments and scrap detail reports. Assist Supply Chain Manager with other inventory related tasks as required. Receive goods in ERP system against purchase orders. Problem solve receiving discrepancies with team members to ensure accurate records in ERP system. Responsible for maintaining inventory performance tracking for monthly KPI's and report to management. Inspect Incoming materials for quality standards and maintain required records. Ability to work independently and as a team with all department members.
Skills :
Thorough understanding of warehouse procedures and regulations. Knowledge and experience in cycle counting, and ability to communicate issues effectively and proactive in problem solving / resolving discrepancies. Experience with ERP software applications. NetSuite / RF-Smart experience preferred. 1-2 years working experience with MS Excel, Word Experienced in strategies to minimize loss (loss prevention) is helpful Understand inventory management KPI's (ex: cycle count accuracy) Strong verbal and written communication skills. Experience in cycle counting to manage the process/results Strong Attention to detail and strong organizational skills Ability to anticipate and solve problems. Ability to remain organized
Qualifications:
2-4 years' experience in warehouse / inventory management experience. AA degree in business or similar discipline desired, or equivalent years of experience. Proficient with data entry and inventory software and systems.
