The Inventory Specialist is responsible for maintaining accurate, compliant counts across all cannabis inventory in accordance with regulations and tracking requirements. This role works closely with the operations and retail teams to ensure inventory integrity, support audits, and keep licensed products moving efficiently and in full compliance. Roles and Responsibilities Receive, inspect, and log incoming shipments accurately, including verification of manifests and chain of custody documentation Enter and maintain all inventory data and point-of-sale system in real time Conduct regular cycle counts, spot checks, and full physical inventory audits per requirements Investigate and reconcile inventory discrepancies promptly and document all findings Ensure proper product storage conditions, organization, and rotation within the licensed premises Monitor product for compliance issues including expired, damaged, or recalled items and follow proper destruction or return protocols Support loss prevention efforts identifying patterns and escalating concerns Assist with receiving and stocking inspections and internal audits Adjust work hours and shift schedules as needed to meet business and operational needs. This may include working additional hours, covering shifts, or modifying schedules in response to staffing needs, business demands, or unforeseen circumstances Knowledge, Skills, and Experience High school diploma or equivalent required Must be 21 years of age or older Must be able to pass a background check 1+ year of inventory, warehouse, or retail experience preferred; cannabis retail experience a plus Familiarity with inventory data software and POS systems Strong attention to detail and accuracy, especially in a regulated environment Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks Reliable attendance and punctuality Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required to support a fluid and dynamic retail environment Physical Demands Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly Comfortable standing, bending, and moving throughout a shift May require working in varying storage conditions Disclaimer This is not necessarily an all-inclusive list of responsibilities, duties, skills, or requirements associated with the job.
