Position Overview:
We are hiring a detail-oriented Inventory Specialist to oversee inventory control processes and ensure accuracy across all warehouse and yard locations. This role reports to the Purchasing and Inventory Manager and plays a critical part in preventing material shortages, overages, and project delays. Key Responsibilities:
Support the Logistics Team Work alongside the Warehouse and Logistics Manager to ensure inventory locations are appropriately stocked based on historical usage and projected demand Assist with incoming and outgoing shipments when needed Provide operational support to warehouse and field teams as necessary Identify and recommend operational improvements to leadership Inventory Management & Cycle Counts Organize and maintain inventory systems and physical storage layout Plan, manage, and complete monthly cycle counts Assist in Audits as required Investigate discrepancies and reconcile inventory variances Collaborate cross-departmentally to ensure accurate material tracking across all locations Monitor stock levels to prevent shortages and overstock situations Daily Inventory Operations Review and Complete daily inventory submissions Process system transfers, receipts, and material usage entries Audit material staging and project-related ordering Maintain accurate documentation and reporting records Stock Monitoring & Process Improvement Monitor inventory trends and usage patterns Identify and communicate potential material shortages before they impact productivity Coordinate with responsible individuals to ensure timely replenishment Recommend and implement improvements to organization and tracking systems Delivery & Travel Moderate regional travel depending on needs Perform basic vehicle checks before and after trips Represent the company professionally in the field Skills and Experience Preferred Strong organizational skills and high attention to detail Moderate to Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including working with large datasets, lookups, filtering, and inventory reporting Experience with inventory management systems and reporting (NetSuite preferred) Ability to analyze inventory discrepancies, research root causes, and resolve issues independently Strong written and verbal communication skills Self-starter with strong ownership of data accuracy and process follow-through Warehouse or construction material handling experience preferred Knowledge of fiber construction materials is a plus Education and Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Accounting/Finance, Information Systems or a related field preferred Valid driver's license What We Offer Competitive salary and performance incentives.
