Job Description

Motorcycle Parts Inventory Specialist (Part-Time) Rusty Dusty Parts New Milford, CT $18-22/hour | Part-Time W-2 | Monday-Friday | Typically 9:00 AM-1:00 PM (occasionally until 2:00 PM) About Rusty Dusty Parts Rusty Dusty Parts is a rapidly growing eCommerce company based in New Milford, Connecticut. We specialize in genuine Harley-Davidson and other powersports parts, selling through multiple online sales channels and shipping thousands of unique motorcycle parts to customers around the world each year. We're building a long-term team—not just filling positions. As we continue to grow, we're looking for dependable people who take pride in doing quality work and want to grow with us. Every Motorcycle Part We Sell Starts Here. Before a motorcycle part is photographed, listed online, and shipped to a customer, it first goes through our inventory preparation process. As our Motorcycle Parts Inventory Specialist , you'll identify, organize, inspect, and prepare motorcycle parts for photography and sale. Some tasks are repetitive, while others require research and problem-solving. Every shipment is different, so there's always something new to learn. What You'll Do Sort and organize incoming motorcycle parts Identify parts using part numbers, casting numbers, labels, and online resources Determine which parts belong together and how they should be sold Create identification notes that travel with each part through our inventory process Record dimensions and other important information Inspect parts for wear, damage, or missing components Lightly clean parts when appropriate Prepare inventory for photography Organize staging carts and maintain an efficient workflow What We're Looking For We're looking for someone who is dependable, organized, curious, and takes pride in doing quality work. Success in this role comes from paying attention to detail, asking good questions, and enjoying the process of learning. You'll use online resources and technology to help identify parts, but good judgment and a willingness to learn are just as important. Bonus Qualifications Experience with motorcycles, powersports, or automotive parts is a strong plus. We especially enjoy meeting people who have spent time around Harley-Davidsons, restored vehicles, worked in dealerships or repair shops, or simply enjoy identifying and researching parts. If you've ever spent an afternoon digging through boxes of motorcycle parts at a swap meet, you'll probably feel right at home here. That said, some of our strongest team members started with little or no motorcycle experience. Curiosity, attention to detail, a strong work ethic, and a willingness to learn go a long way. Schedule & Compensation Part-time W-2 position Monday through Friday Typical schedule: 9:00 AM-1:00 PM (occasionally until 2:00 PM) Approximately 20 hours per week $18-22 per hour , based on experience and qualifications We intentionally operate with focused daytime shifts instead of long workdays. This helps our team stay productive, maintain quality, and enjoy a healthy work-life balance. Training & Evaluation Every new team member begins with a paid training and evaluation period . During this time, you'll learn our process while we make sure the position is a great fit for both you and Rusty Dusty Parts. Benefits Paid training W-2 employment Consistent daytime schedule No nights or weekends Performance-based pay increases Retirement savings benefits planned as the company continues to grow Opportunity to grow with a rapidly growing company Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for much of the workday Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds Comfortable working in a warehouse environment If you're looking for a part-time position with a growing company and enjoy working with your hands, staying organized, and learning something new every day, we'd love to hear from you.
