Job Description

Full-time day shift Central Supply Clerk/Transporter needed!!! Come join our team of dedicated staff at River Haven Nursing and Rehabilitation. We are located in a historic river front community that has a lot to offer. There is a great mixture of country living and city conveniences here to satisfy all your needs.
POSITION PURPOSE
Stores and distributes medical/surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies in accordance with all company, federal, state, and local standards. Assist and accompany residents who are transferred via facility vehicle or transportation services.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF POSITION
Follow infection control policy and procedures Ensure equipment is readily available for staff and resident use Prepare, process, and pack supplies, equipment, and instruments Maintain documentation of equipment malfunctions and request repairs when needed Communicate relevant information to management Answer facility telephone calls as needed Assume responsiblity of inventory and rotate stocked items daily and maintain monthly inventory of all nursing supplies Order and maintain inventory of supplies and fills requests according to procedures Maintain department budget and expense controls Complete safety checklist and orientation and take corrective action before operating a facility vehicle Ensure resident safety prior, during, and after transportation to appointments Report significant changes in a resident's ability to travel safely Ensure proper maintenance of facility vehicle Communicate respectfully to residents and/or their families
Annual DMV Check Additional Comments:
Transportation and central supply clerk will opperate as specific roles. The company is hiring for separate positions. Although, each employee may help the other when needed or assist in other areas of the facility.
EDUCATION/REQUIREMENTS
Two (2) years of experience in central supply or quality control. Must have a working knowledge of instrumentation processing techniques, medical supplies, and proficiency in the following: basic microbiology, soaps and detergents, quality assurance, infection control, isolation techniques and safe practices. Must have at least one (1) year of transportation experience. A valid drivers license is required with a satisfactory driving background check . Current CPR and/or Certified Nurse Aide license preferred.
