A qualified Horticultural Purchasing & Inventory Specialist combines hands-on plant knowledge with strong ERP and administrative accuracy.Key Responsibilities Procurement & POs:
Create, issue, and track purchase orders in the ERP system. Confirm pricing, quantities, and delivery dates.Vendor & Logistics Liaison:
Follow up with vendors on order status, delays, or substitutions. Coordinate inbound shipments directly with Receiving and Operations.Quality Verification:
Evaluate inbound plant shipments for health and spec accuracy using Southeast U.S. plant knowledge and Florida Grades & Standards for Nursery Stock.Inventory Control & Reporting:
Support stock replenishment, audit inventory data, assist with invoice reconciliation, and generate routine purchasing reports.Qualifications Experience:
Minimum 1 year of experience in horticulture, green industry operations, or inventory control required.Plant Knowledge:
Ability to identify Southeast U.S. plant material; familiarity with Florida Grades & Standards is highly preferred.Technical & Soft Skills:
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and ERP systems. Exceptional detail orientation and multi-tasking abilities.Languages:
