Job Overview We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Gold Controller to oversee the receiving, tracking, reconciliation, and movement of gold and other precious metals throughout our operation. This position is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records, verifying transactions, and ensuring that all precious-metal assets are properly accounted for at all times. Because this role involves direct responsibility for high-value inventory, accuracy, integrity, organization, and strict adherence to internal controls are essential. Duties Receive, weigh, verify, and document incoming gold and precious metals. Maintain accurate records of gold inventory, purchases, transfers, shipments, refining, and settlements. Reconcile physical gold inventory against internal records and transaction reports. Track gold through each stage of the process, from receipt through final disposition or refining. Identify and investigate inventory discrepancies, weight differences, or documentation errors. Maintain chain-of-custody records for all precious-metal transactions. Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly inventory and reconciliation reports. Coordinate with purchasing, accounting, operations, shipping, and management. Verify supporting documentation before inventory is released or transferred. Assist with physical inventory counts and internal or external audits. Follow company security procedures and internal controls when handling high-value assets. Qualifications Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy. Excellent organizational and recordkeeping skills. Comfortable working with spreadsheets, inventory systems, and transaction records. Ability to reconcile physical inventory against financial and operational records. High level of integrity and discretion when handling valuable assets and confidential information. Ability to follow established procedures and maintain accurate documentation. Experience in precious metals, jewelry, pawn, refining, inventory control, accounting, or a related field is preferred. Experience weighing and evaluating precious metals is a plus.
