Job Description

Position Summary We are seeking a dependable, organized, and motivated Inventory & Stock Specialist to manage glass hardware inventory and assist with daily warehouse operations. This position is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory levels, receiving and stocking products, pulling hardware for customer and branch orders, transferring inventory between locations, and communicating with vendors. The ideal candidate is able to work independently, stay organized, provide excellent customer service, and take ownership of inventory accuracy. Job Responsibilities Maintain and organize inventory of glass hardware, including hinges, handles, channels, clamps, shower hardware, railing hardware, and other related products. Perform regular physical inventory counts and ensure system quantities match actual stock. Add inventory into the system when products are received. Remove inventory from the system when products are sold, transferred, damaged, or otherwise removed from stock. Identify inventory shortages, overstock, and products that need to be reordered. Prepare and send hardware and inventory transfers to other company branches. Verify all branch transfers for correct products and quantities before shipment. Receive incoming vendor shipments and verify quantities and products against purchase orders and packing slips. Pull and prepare hardware for customer orders, deliveries, pickups, and internal production needs. Keep hardware, stock rooms, shelves, and warehouse areas clean, labeled, and organized. Communicate with vendors regarding product availability, lead times, backorders, and pricing. Negotiate pricing with vendors and assist with finding competitive pricing and purchasing opportunities. Maintain good working relationships with existing and new vendors. Assist customers with hardware questions, order pickups, product availability, and general customer service. Communicate inventory issues or discrepancies to management. Work with other branches and departments to ensure needed materials are available. Complete assigned tasks without requiring constant supervision. Follow company safety procedures when lifting, moving, stocking, and handling materials. Perform other warehouse, inventory, and operational duties as assigned. Physical Requirements Must be able to lift and carry up to 70 lbs. Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the workday. Must be able to bend, reach, lift, carry, and move inventory safely. Must be comfortable working in a stock-room environment. Qualifications & Skills Strong organizational and inventory-management skills. Ability to count inventory accurately and pay close attention to detail. Ability to work independently and take initiative . Dependable, punctual, and responsible. Strong communication and customer-service skills. Comfortable communicating and negotiating with vendors. Basic computer skills and ability to learn inventory software. Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities throughout the day. Previous inventory, warehouse, purchasing, hardware, construction, or glass-industry experience is preferred but not required. Bilingual is a plus
Pay:
$18.00 - $19.00 per hour
