Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Inventory Control Specialist to join our team and drive excellence in supply chain management. The Inventory Control and Shipping Specialist is essential for coordinating purchasing, receiving, and shipping functions, ensuring efficient operations, and maintaining optimal inventory levels. The specialist will play a key role in streamlining processes and fostering strong relationships with vendors, contributing to the overall success of our supply chain management.
Key Responsibilities:
Inventory Management Maintain consistent stock levels by monitoring inventory and placing orders within pre-authorized limits. Conduct frequent spot checks and partial audits of physical inventory, as well as participate in annual physical inventory audits. Maintain accurate daily records of goods received and shipments made, ensuring data integrity. Shipping and Receiving Oversee daily purchasing, receiving, and shipping activities to ensure timely and accurate operations. Manage Returned Goods Authorization (RGA) requests and ensure rental units are maintained in good working order. Reporting and Analysis Provide comprehensive inventory reports to management, tracking data for purchase orders against sales orders. Report any discrepancies or incidents to management promptly. Vendor Relations Develop and maintain strong working relationships with vendors to optimize supply chain efficiency. Administrative Support Serve as a backup for order entry and billing processes as needed. Aid with special projects, ad-hoc requests, and other duties to facilitate decision-making and issue resolution. Participate in the annual financial statement audit process, ensuring compliance and accuracy. Drive and develop initiatives for process improvement to enhance operational efficiency.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; degree in supply chain management, logistics, or a related field preferred. Proven experience in inventory control, shipping, and logistics. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail. Proficient in inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to challenges .
Working Conditions:
Primarily office-based with some time spent in a warehouse environment. May require occasional overtime during peak periods or special projects. Fast-paced work environment with multiple priorities.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift and move items weighing up to 50 pounds. Prolonged periods of standing, walking, and sitting. Manual dexterity for handling inventory and operating equipment.
