JOB DESCRIPTION

The Inventory & Yard Specialist is responsible for maintaining an organized, clean, safe, and efficient company yard while overseeing the receipt, storage, tracking, and distribution of materials and supplies. This position is responsible for unloading incoming deliveries, maintaining accurate inventory records, preparing materials for jobs, and ensuring materials entering and leaving the yard are properly accounted for. The ideal candidate is dependable, organized, safety-conscious, and able to work independently while communicating effectively with field crews, management, subcontractors and drivers. Yard Operations Maintain a clean, organized, and safe company yard. Unload trucks and receive incoming material and supplies. Properly organize and store materials in designated areas. Load materials and supplies for delivery to jobsites or field crews. Keep access areas, loading areas, and storage areas clear and organized. Assist with general yard maintenance and cleanup. Identify and report damaged, missing, or improperly stored materials. Ensure materials and equipment are stored securely and protected from damage when possible. Inventory Management Maintain accurate records of all materials entering and leaving the yard. Receive and verify deliveries against packing slips, purchase orders, or other documentation. Track quantities, locations, and usage of materials. Document materials issued to jobs, crews, or subcontractors. Conduct regular inventory counts and report discrepancies to management. Maintain an organized system for locating materials quickly and efficiently. Assist management with inventory ordering. Materials & Job Support Coordinate and schedule delivery times with truck drivers and trucking companies. Prepare materials and supplies needed for upcoming projects. Coordinate with project managers, foremen, and subcontractors regarding material needs. Ensure requested materials are available and ready when needed. Return unused materials to the appropriate storage location. Separate damaged, excess, or unusable materials and notify management. Other duties as assigned. Safety & Equipment Follow all company safety policies and procedures. Maintain a clean and hazard-free work environment. Properly use PPE and follow safe material-handling procedures. Operate telehandler or other equipment only when properly trained and authorized. Report unsafe conditions, equipment problems, spills, leaks, or property damage immediately. Must obtain a valid DL with a clean driving record for at least 3 years. Have at least 1 year experience in operating a SkyTrak . Required Qualifications & Abilities Have at least one year experience in the telecommunications industry. Have a high school diploma or equivalent. Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, climb, and work outdoors for extended periods. Ability to lift and move materials as required. Ability to work in varying weather conditions. Ability to safely perform physical tasks associated with loading, unloading, organizing, and maintaining the yard. Ability to operate equipment required for the position, following proper training and safety procedures. Ability to work in inclement weather conditions such as extreme heat, extreme cold, rain, ice, snow, and wind. Basic understanding of materials and products being used Strong attention to detail and able to follow direction Ability to work well with others Ability to lift and carry up to 100 lbs. This is a full-time position and hours of work are Monday through Friday 6:45 a.m. to 3:45 p.m. This position is may have reduced hours during the winter months based on company needs. Pay:
