Job Description

Material Flow & Inventory Coordinator Location:
40 Chestnut Avenue, Westmont, IL 60559
Work Hours:
7:00 AM - 3:30 PM, Monday through
Friday Pay Range:
$27.00 - $30.00/Hour Make the Right Connection—Build Your Career with Dixon! The Dixon Group is looking for a Material Flow & Inventory Coordinator to join our team in Westmont, Illinois! In this role, you will help ensure the continuous flow of materials throughout the manufacturing process by staging and moving raw materials and work-in-process (WIP), monitoring production constraints, and supporting inventory accuracy. Your efforts will directly contribute to machine uptime, production efficiency, and overall operational performance. What You'll Do:
Stage and move brass rod and work-in-process (WIP) materials to production areas to ensure Acme screw machines remain supplied and operational. Monitor production flow and identify potential bottlenecks or material constraints, taking action to help prevent equipment downtime. Support cycle counting, physical inventory activities, and material reconciliation efforts to maintain inventory accuracy. Coordinate with production personnel to communicate material needs and resolve material flow issues. Maintain organized material staging and storage areas while following safety and quality procedures.
What We're Looking For:
High School diploma or equivalent required Previous experience in material handling, manufacturing, warehouse operations, logistics, or a related environment preferred. Ability to accurately track materials and inventory while maintaining attention to detail. Experience using material handling equipment such as forklifts is preferred. Ability to occasionally move and position materials, containers, or inventory as part of daily material handling activities. Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with production and inventory teams. Basic understanding of inventory control and production processes is a plus.
