Overview Gradex, Inc. is seeking a dependable and organized Small Tools Delivery & Inventory Coordinator to support our construction crews throughout the Indianapolis area and across Indiana. This position will spend most of the workday driving a fully stocked company van between active jobsites, delivering small tools, supplies, and other materials needed by our field crews. The individual will also be responsible for tracking which tools are assigned to each crew and maintaining accurate inventory records using a computer-based system. The ideal candidate is reliable, organized, comfortable working independently, and able to communicate effectively with field and office personnel. Primary Responsibilities Drive a company-provided van to deliver and pick up small tools, equipment, and supplies at active jobsites. Keep the van clean, organized, and properly stocked. Receive tool requests from field personnel and coordinate timely deliveries. Track tools issued to and returned by individual employees and crews. Enter and maintain accurate tool and inventory information in a computer-based tracking system. Inspect returned tools for damage, excessive wear, or needed repairs. Coordinate damaged or nonworking tools with the Small Tools Manager. Help monitor inventory levels and identify tools or supplies that need to be reordered. Obtain signatures or other documentation when tools are delivered or transferred. Communicate professionally with foremen, superintendents, project managers, and other team members. Follow all company driving, safety, and jobsite requirements. Assist the Small Tools Manager with other shop and inventory-related duties as needed. Qualifications Valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record. Must be able to pass a DOT physical and maintain a valid DOT medical card. Gradex can assist with scheduling the physical through our designated medical provider. A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) is not required for this position. Basic computer and data-entry skills are required. Ability to use email and learn the company's tool-tracking and inventory systems. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Ability to work independently and adjust priorities as jobsite needs change. Dependable attendance and the ability to report to work on time. Ability to communicate clearly with both field and office personnel. Familiarity with construction tools and equipment is preferred but not required. Previous delivery, warehouse, inventory, construction, or tool-room experience is preferred. Physical Requirements Ability to frequently enter and exit a delivery van throughout the workday. Ability to load, unload, lift, and carry small tools and supplies. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation. Ability to work outdoors and visit active construction jobsites in varying weather and ground conditions. Ability to safely secure tools and materials for transportation.
