modular truck topper systems. This is a hands-on shop position for someone who enjoys working with tools, building quality products, and seeing a finished product leave the shop. You will spend most of your time assembling aluminum components, installing hardware, checking fit and finish, preparing products for shipment, and helping keep materials and inventory organized. This is not an office position or a basic "put parts in a box" job. The right person takes pride in clean, accurate work and notices when something is not right before it becomes a problem. What You'll Do Assembly and Quality Assemble aluminum topper panels using rivets, structural adhesives, and mechanical fasteners Prepare, align, and bond large aluminum panels according to work instructions Install hardware and complete final panel assemblies Use hand tools, drills, rivet guns, pneumatic tools, and measuring tools safely and correctly Inspect work throughout the assembly process for fit, finish, alignment, and missing hardware Follow documented assembly procedures and ask questions when something does not look right Help ensure every finished product meets Xtrusion Overland quality standards Inventory and Materials Perform routine inventory cycle counts and help maintain accurate inventory records Restock assembly workstations with the materials needed for production Receive, organize, label, and store incoming materials Report material shortages, damaged parts, and inventory discrepancies promptly Use our inventory system to complete basic material transactions and request replenishment as needed Production Support Deburr sheet metal components and prepare parts for assembly Package finished products carefully for shipment Assist with shipping preparation and general shop organization Help other production areas when workload requires it Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe Follow shop safety procedures and use required PPE What We're Looking For Required Strong attention to detail and pride in producing clean, accurate work Good mechanical aptitude and comfort working with your hands Ability to use common hand and power tools safely Ability to follow written instructions, verbal direction, and repeatable assembly processes Dependable attendance and punctuality Ability to work independently while communicating well with a small team Willingness to learn, accept feedback, and improve processes A positive, practical attitude—someone who helps solve problems instead of walking past them Preferred, But Not Required Assembly, manufacturing, fabrication, automotive, construction, maintenance, cabinetry, or similar hands-on experience Experience with rivet guns, drills, pneumatic tools, measuring tools, adhesives, or sealants Experience with aluminum, sheet metal, or finished products where cosmetic quality matters Inventory, warehouse, receiving, packing, or cycle-count experience Experience using a computer or tablet for inventory transactions; Odoo or similar ERP/inventory software experience is a plus Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 50 pounds Ability to stand and move around the shop for extended periods Frequent bending, reaching, lifting, carrying, and handling materials Comfortable safely moving and positioning large aluminum panels Ability to safely operate hand tools, power tools, and pneumatic tools Ability to perform the essential duties of the position with or without reasonable accommodation Schedule and Benefits Full-time, Monday through Friday Occasional overtime may be available when production requires it Paid holidays Paid time off On-the-job training Opportunities to build new skills and advance as the company grows Stable, full-time work with a small, hands-on manufacturing team Why Work Here At Xtrusion Overland, the work you do goes directly into products customers depend on for trucks, travel, work, and adventure.
