Job Description

Our Client, a Healthcare company, is looking for an Inventory Specialist I for their Owensboro, KY location.

Responsibilities:

Perform physical inventory validations, cycle count observations, and annual inventory count verification activities.

Compare physical inventory counts to system records and investigate inventory discrepancies.

Assist with inventory reconciliations between Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365) and supporting inventory records.

Review and validate inventory movement transactions for completeness and accuracy.

Maintain inventory count documentation, audit support files, and SOX-compliant evidence retention.

Support Operations Finance during internal and external audits by gathering and organizing supporting documentation.

Verify inventory adjustments are properly supported, approved, and documented in accordance with company controls.

Analyze inventory variances and communicate findings to Operations Finance management.

Utilize Microsoft Excel to prepare reconciliations, variance analyses, and inventory reports.

Ensure adherence to established inventory control procedures, segregation-of-duties requirements, and SOX compliance standards.

Partner with Warehouse, Logistics, Production, and Finance teams to resolve inventory issues and improve inventory accuracy.

Support special inventory projects, process improvement initiatives, and count-related activities as assigned.

Requirements:

2+ years of experience in Inventory Control, Warehouse Operations, Inventory Accounting, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, or related field.

Experience performing physical inventory counts, cycle counts, reconciliations, or inventory audits.

Strong Microsoft Excel skills.

Experience analyzing inventory variances and maintaining accurate records.

Understanding of inventory control principles and internal controls.

Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.

Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work with large data sets and maintain documentation in a highly controlled environment.

Experience supporting audit requests and maintaining supporting documentation.

Experience using Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (D365).

Experience working in a SOX-controlled environment.

Knowledge of manufacturing, warehousing, and inventory management processes.

Experience supporting internal or external audits.

Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Supply Chain Management, or related field.

Power BI reporting experience.

Experience with inventory reconciliations and general ledger support.
