Job Description

A Company Route Sr Specialist is responsible for supporting the Company Route Operator in all essential functions related to operating a company route. Daily support will include but is not be limited to business operations, sales, training, inventory management, warehousing, distribution, and back office systems. The ideal candidate must have an excellent work ethic, excellent customer relationship attitude, good time management skills, and exhibit efficient work habits. This position requires critical thinking and problem-solving skills. The Company Route Sr Specialist will be expected to understand and uphold all of the Boar's Head policies and procedures, most importantly "The Vision Process", as well as portray a positive image of the company.
Responsibilities:
The following functions are to be conducted in a support role: Placing the FB order weekly. Managing all warehouse personnel. Receiving trailers and processing associated paperwork. Proper rotation of all inventory in the warehouse and on the truck. Loading all trucks and insuring proper overnight plug-ins. Manage all short-coded product. Involved in all weekly inventories (including POS materials) and monthly weighted inventories. Maintaining the warehouse, equipment, and trucks. Familiar with products; identification, case counts, other product knowledge. End of Day settlement procedures, sales, inventory, credit, cash, etc. Training Deli Sales Associates behind the counter. Merchandising and demonstrating product Supporting company initiatives (e.g. promotions, new item launches). Delivering all aspects of Grand Opening requirements as identified in the GO handbook. Attending classes, lectures, and seminars for further training as deemed necessary.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. Minimum 2-5 years in the food and beverage industry, perishable products preferred. Flexible to relocate anywhere in the US. Must be able to travel up to 80%. Experience working for a distributorship. May be required to obtain CDL for delivery purposes. Some OT and weekend work required. Successful completion of Boar's Head Distributor training program.
