8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday About the Role Thermo Fisher Scientific is seeking an Inventory Management Specialist II to support inventory management and lab operations at our customer site in Andover, MA. This onsite role supports lab personnel through inventory control, material replenishment, gas and dry ice management, shipment processing, and customer service while maintaining compliance with established procedures and safety standards. What You'll Do Collect used labware and materials from various laboratories and ensure designated points of use remain fully stocked Manage gas and dry ice inventory, including maintaining supply levels and safe storage practices Partner with customers to understand labware and material needs and provide timely support to maintain inventory availability Follow established Best Practices, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and Work Instructions Maintain accurate inventory and support activity records Receive, inspect, scan, store, and organize incoming shipments Perform cycle counts and maintain accurate inventory records Serve as a primary customer contact by responding to emails, following up by phone, assisting internal partners, and helping resolve questions Perform additional duties as assigned by management Work Environment & Physical Requirements Work in a laboratory environment Follow all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) safety standards Wear required personal protective equipment, which may include safety glasses, gloves, gowning, lab coats, coveralls, facemasks, ear plugs, and steel-toe shoes Work independently at customer sites May work in areas where chemical-based allergens such as penicillin and tetracycline are present Regularly lift and move 30-40 lbs. and occasionally lift up to 50 lbs. Must be able to lift 40 lbs. without assistance Use pushcarts, forklifts, and similar equipment to move materials weighing up to 100 lbs.
