Job Description

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Ability to follow and understand verbal instructions in a fast-paced environment Ability to work well with others and collaborate with multiple departments in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Ability to be respectful, approachable, and team-oriented while building strong working relationships and a positive work environment. Accurately perform daily cycle counts. Research inventory discrepancies and perform root cause analysis. Monitor and control inventory integrity. Monitor and maintain rotation and organization. Maintain product identification, location, and lot code accuracy. Overseeing and directing incoming freight from receiving. Provides internal customer support. Assists with monthly physical inventory. Ensure effective consolidation and rotation of products in all locations (FIFO). Has a clear understanding of SQF, HACCP, and GMP policies. Validate and report actual inventory variances. Ensure a clean, safe, and organized work area. Ability to work extended periods in a cold environment and short periods in the freezer. Ability to operate a scissor lift, high lift, forklift, pallet jack, stand-up jack, etc. Knowledge of receiving procedures for meat products entering the company, including lot assignment and internal records procedures. Follow all work Safety Regulations. Complete food safety documentation as required. Performs other related duties as required by Bertolino Foods. 1+ years' Inventory/cycle count experience in the Warehouse/Manufacturing Industry or related experience. Strong counting and math skills. Good oral and written communication skills Good organizational skills and attention to detail. Strong time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines. Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite software (word, excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook), Inventory software, and ability to navigate and research the Internet. Scissor lift and High Lift experience/No fear of heights. Knowledge of OSHA Standards, USDA, and SQF Regulations. Bilingual is a plus (Spanish Language). Must be able to work overtime hours and weekends periodically. Working Conditions Dock, Warehouse, and Food Warehouse Environment in a manufacturing facility. Physical Requirements Ability to lift and move up to a max of 75 pounds Ability to be on your feet for long periods of time. Employee will be subject to cold weather conditions from 38(F) to -10(F) The physical activity of this position includes but is not limited to: Routine Standing, climbing, walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, twisting, sitting, feeling, and visual activity. The Inventory Specialist is responsible for inventory cycle counting, tracking, and monitoring inventory within the warehouse. Requires strong reliance on accuracy, control, monitoring, and coordination to confirm inventory & investigate count discrepancies. Assist with Warehouse duties as directed by the Inventory Manager or Supervisor.
