Inventory & Customer Service Specialist
Inventory & Customer Service SpecialistSummary/Objective:
This role combines the precision of warehouse work with the relationship-building of customer service. You"ll assist customers in person, process orders, manage inventory, and ensure materials are accurately picked, packed, and stocked. As you"ll often work independently, strong time management and self-motivation are key. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, communicates clearly, and takes pride in creating a positive experience for both internal and external customers.
Essential Functions:
  • Provide insightful, accurate, detailed information to our customers questions or problems.
  • Efficiently collect requested material from the shelves, ensuring it correctly aligns with the customer"s application and order.
  • Receives incoming materials, checking packing slips against actual merchandise received. Inspects materials for obvious defects, solving related problems and notifies supervisor as necessary.
  • Stock shelves and ensuring materials are in their designated area.
  • Pulls materials from warehouse shelves to fill current orders. Identify correct quantity and customer specifications.
  • Utilize RF guns for picking and packing.
  • Packs and ships materials in designated cartons per customer order and department procedures.
  • Assists with loading and unloading trucks.
  • Check email and trackers daily for time sensitive company information.
  • Posts purchase orders via RF and other related data into the computer system.
  • Completing two full Cycle Counts per year to maintain an accurate inventory of items and locations.
  • Involves maintaining a clean, organized area
  • Work closely with all internal departments, combining individual efforts to better serve the customer.
  • Performs other duties as obvious or assigned.
